Tomorrow marks the first day of spring, so I thought I’d fill your inbox with patterns and designs to celebrate the season of renewal.

Here in the Bay Area, cherry blossoms are the first sign that spring is near, and bunnies hopping through the foothills make the landscape feel alive with the season’s arrival.

By late spring, fawns are born, and I love spotting little families grazing on grasses and shrubs in our open-space preserves.

I created this piece in honor of my beloved tuxedo cat, Katie, who adored basking in the spring garden among the flowers, birds, and bees. We don’t need to discuss her other springtime hobby—let’s just say our male cats aren’t nearly as skilled at hunting.

In the Bay Area, lemon trees start bearing fruit in late winter—an early promise that spring is on its way. Since lemonade is one of my favorite picnic treats, I paired bright lemons with classic gingham in this design.

Buttercups, with their cheerful yellow blooms, are another joyful harbinger of spring.

And finally, for those getting a head start on Easter preparations, here’s a design inspired by the April 20th holiday.
